Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell has worked as a chef, TV host in America and a teacher at Institute of Culinary Education. Burrell hosts Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and also serves as the host of Worst Cooks in America. With her trademark spiky blond hair and her pumped-up appearance, Anne Burrell eliminates the intimidation of eating out and offers simple, easy-to-learn techniques to cook at home on her Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. Chef Burrell has worked at New York at top restaurants and studied the Italian culinary traditions and landscape. She also competed as Iron Chef America on Food Network. Early on, while living in the the upstate area of New York, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. Her passion was for food and restaurant by enroling at The Culinary Institute of America following the completion of a bachelor's degree in English and Communications from Canisius College, Buffalo NY. I enjoyed every moment of being a student at The Culinary Institute of America she says. It was difficult to master how to do, or even work hard enough. Following graduation of the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners chef Burrell spent an entire year in Italy studying and working at La Taverna del Lupo restaurant located in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 one Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. It was during this time that her experience in Italy allowed her to comprehend and appreciate Italian way of life and its culture and has made an impression on her perception of food. Burrell was an Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board participant, with the goal of to enhance the lives of children who face obstacles. Burrell also serves as a Juvenile Disease Research Foundation celebrity spokesperson and promotes awareness about the dangers of childhood diabetes. As a guest speaker and teacher Burrell travels throughout the US to talk about her love for cooking and professional career. Through her culinary adventures, Anne has always said I feel so lucky to be able to share what I love most to others.
